Workshops for artists will be a regular feature, fostering skill development and collaboration within the artistic community. The Octagon will also host night markets and waterfront events, attracting diverse audiences and promoting local culture. Art installations, exhibitions, and concerts will be key components of its programming, offering continuous engagement for the community and visitors.

Initiatives like "Discover Porirua" and specific projects related to Te Awarua o Porirua will highlight local heritage and promote tourism. The Octagon's media suite will support video editing and animation, providing state-of-the-art facilities for digital content creation. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including Pātaka Foundation, Pātaka ART+Museum, Porirua City, ART.LDGR, iSPARX™, funders, patrons, sponsors and individual artists will be crucial in driving these activities forward.

The Octagon aims to be a cornerstone of cultural engagement, bringing together artists, community members, and visitors through a diverse range of programs and events. Its role in fostering artistic innovation, community interaction, and cultural celebration will make it a pivotal institution in Porirua's cultural landscape.
